In 2020 Gamesradar reported that Supergiant Games will take a break before deciding on its next project. It plans to make games for as long as it is able. Kasavin also said that Supergiant Games is not going anywhere. Hades had a lot that worked in its favor with fans, from the art design to the sound design, battle mechanics, characters, and fun dungeon crawler concept. This likely means that even if a Hades sequel does not happen, future projects by Supergiant Games' will use elements from Hades again. In the same interview, Kasavin also said that their team will keep what has worked in past games when they continue on their next project. They tend not to plan their next games until they are fully done with what they currently work on. He said that in the past, Supergiant Games did not know what comes next. In a 2021 interview with NME, Supergiant Games writer and designer Greg Kasavin made it clear that Supergiant Games is undecided about a Hades sequel. Most of the blog and Twitter posts for the past two years have been about Hades merchandise, job opportunities, and game anniversaries, with no word of future projects yet. In July, developers reported that their store came out with new Hadesmerchandise from plushies, to pins, and clothes. The latest blog post has been a job opportunity for a Map Artist.
